The sightseeing experience on mountain bikes begins in front of the reception of Nallikari Camping in Hietasaari.
From the starting point, the safari heads out to the beautiful seaside and forest scenery of Hietasaari. From there the tour is directed through the historical Pikisaari island, which is a remnant of the Old Town of Oulu. The route then weaves through the gorgeous Hupisaaret park area before finally concluding back at Nallikari Camping. The route follows bicycle routes as well as off-road trails.
During this 2,5-hour tour you get to experience Oulu at its most beautiful. This trip is especially well suitedfor travellers but offers a great experience even for the natives of Oulu. The trip is suited for anyone with basic fitness.
During thawed ground (from spring to fall) the trip can be carried out with fatbikes and narrow-tired mountain bikes. During winter the trip is only carried out with fatbikes.
Fatbike is a bicycle with oversized tires. Their low tire pressure enables their use on soft and unstable terrains such as snow and sand.
