Winter Activities in Oulu on the Frozen Sea

During the coldest months of the year, the sea in front of Oulu freezes into a vast Arctic landscape of snow and ice – right on our doorstep in Nallikari, just 15 minutes from the city centre. These are our three most popular winter experiences, all led by local guides:

Arctic Northern Lights Camp – walk across the frozen sea to a cosy heated camp, warm up by the campfire and look for the aurora.

Arctic Sea Ice Fishing – drill your own hole, watch the fish rise on a sonar and warm up by the fire. Beginners and children welcome.

Arctic Sea Snowshoe Experience – an easy, beginner-friendly walk on the sea ice with a campfire and hot drinks.
