Explore snowy trails and ride on the frozen sea in a unique Arctic bike adventure – safely guided by local professionals.

This is a private experience exclusively for your group – no other participants will join. The experience is available for groups of at least 4 people. You can book it directly through our website at least 14 days in advance. If you wish to make a reservation with shorter notice, please contact us at info@nallikarisafaris.fi to inquire about availability. If you're traveling alone or with a smaller group, you can join Arctic Sea Bike Experience (public).
Our adventure begins at the Nallikari Experience Center, located right by the Nallikari seaside, on the ground floor of the Nallikari Aalto hotel building (Nallikarinranta 10).
Before we head out, our professional guides will give you clear instructions on how to use the fatbike and go over all safety matters. With expert guidance, winter cycling is surprisingly easy and completely safe – no prior experience needed, just an open mind and a sense of adventure.
The route takes us through snowy forest trails and along the beautiful seaside of Nallikari. When conditions allow, we’ll ride directly on the frozen sea – an unforgettable experience like no other. Sometimes, however, snow conditions can prevent us from going onto the ice, but in that case, we’ll enjoy the peaceful and scenic winter landscapes of Nallikari and Hietasaari instead.
A fatbike is a wide-tire bicycle designed for demanding winter terrain. Its low-pressure tires float effortlessly over snow and ice. This guided safari is suitable for anyone with basic fitness – all you need to do is enjoy the ride, and we’ll take care of the rest.
The starting point is easy to reach from Oulu city center by bus number 15. Nallikari is also within walking distance, and there are free parking areas available nearby.
Price: 75 € / person
Christmas Eve (December 24th) and Christmas Day (December 25th) price: 112€ / person

The price includes: Thermal clothing (if necessary), guidance, as well as the fatbike and helmet.

Level: Easy, but requires basic cycling skills. Suitable for those over 15 years old (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
