This is a private safari exclusively for your group; there will be no other participants. We open the safari by request. Please contact us by email (info@nallikarisafaris.fi) and specify your preferred dates, after which we will open the days for booking if our guides are available!
Join us on a guided tour of Hailuoto Island together with a professional guide and experience and hear the island and its history at its best. We will start directly from Nallikari in Oulu and bring you back at the end of the tour.
At the start of the trip you can enjoy the fresh sea air on a car ferry. Our first place to visit on the island is in Ulkokarvo, where you can see the concrete artwork Organium, built by Hai Art. We then head towards Marjaniemi, where we see a lighthouse and an old fishing village.
On the way back, we can visit, for example, Hailuoto Brewery, Luovon Puoji or Knivilä Local History Museum, within their opening hours. It is also possible to tailor excursions and places to visit according to your wishes.
Did you know that the name of the island is known to derive from the word ‘haili’, which means herring?

It is possible to have lunch at the Marjaniemi restaurant during the trip. However, we recommend booking meals in advance. We'll help you with the reservation.
