Embark on a comfortable and easy safari near the center of Oulu, in Nallikari, where we explore the ice of the frozen sea and the forested and park-like winter landscapes. This safari has minimal elevation changes, making it perfectly suitable for beginners.

This private safari is also family-friendly, suitable for children over 6 years old. For our youngest adventurers, we provide traditional children's snowshoes (not sliding snowshoes), ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.

Your experience beginsat the Nallikari Experience Center, where our guide will help you fit the snowshoes to your footwear and adjust the poles to the correct height.

As we set off to walk on the white ice of Oulu's frozen sea, following the coastline's natural contours, we find ourselves surrounded by the serene beauty of winter. Our path continues into the heart of Hietasaari, through its winter forests and park landscapes, where the tranquility of nature wraps around you. Along the way, we also get to see the local way of life in a "Live Like a Local" manner, as there are public campfire sites along the route.

If you choose to start this safari after 9 PM, the landscape transforms completely, and we conduct the safari in the light of headlamps. This allows us to see the city lights over the dark, frozen sea and, with a bit of luck, a clear starry sky or even the Northern Lights.

Throughout your journey, our guide will share fascinating information about the Oulu sea area and the natural splendor of Nallikari. This narration enriches your experience, creating a deep connection with the local environment.

No prior experience is needed for this adventure, and it is led by a professional guide, ensuring a safe and memorable experience for everyone.

  • 1 person: 159 € per person (219 € per person after 9 PM)

  • 2 people: 92 € per person (127 € per person after 9 PM)

• Price includes: Professional guidance, winter clothing (overalls, winter boots, beanie and gloves), sliding snowshoes and poles, headlamps (if it's dark)
