This easy and family-friendly adventure is perfect for anyone wishing to experience authentic Nordic winter nature right next to Oulu city.
Your journey begins in Nallikari, where you will receive warm thermal overalls, helmets, gloves, and winter boots before walking down to the shoreline. There, your guide welcomes you aboard a comfortable sleigh, which is safely pulled by a snowmobile and designed for smooth travel over snow and ice.
Soon you will head directly onto the frozen sea ice in front of Oulu, where breathtaking winter landscapes open all around. Along the way, you’ll see snowy shorelines, small local islands, and distant views of the city skyline from the sea.
The highlight of the experience is a stop at a quiet island shoreline, where a campfire awaits. Your guide prepares hot drinks and serves a selection of traditional Finnish snacks—such as grilled sausages, Finnish pastries, and chocolate treats. You’ll have time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful winter atmosphere before returning to Nallikari.
