Join us on a nighttime adventure where we hunt for the Aurora Borealis with local guides. Rather than waiting in a single location, we travel to the areas that offer the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights based on the latest weather and cloud forecasts.

This is a private experience exclusively for your group – no other participants will join. The experience is available for groups of at least 6 people. You can book it directly through our website at least 14 days in advance. If you're traveling alone or with a smaller group, you can join our weekly program by booking the Arctic Northern Lights Camp (public) experience.
The Aurora Hunting Safari begins with transportation from your accommodation in Oulu at 7:00 PM. After pick-up, we will stop at our Nallikari Experience Center, where participants have the opportunity to change into thermal clothing (during the winter season). From there, the adventure continues as we travel by bus or minibus in search of the best possible Northern Lights viewing locations.
Even on evenings when the Aurora remains hidden, you'll discover the peaceful darkness of the Finnish wilderness, breathe the crisp Arctic air, gather around an open fire, and enjoy warm drinks and snacks while listening to stories about Finnish nature and the Northern Lights.
Please note that finding the most suitable viewing locations may require travelling to several different areas during the evening. Our guides continuously monitor local weather and cloud conditions to maximize your chances of witnessing this remarkable natural phenomenon.
Throughout the journey, our guides will share fascinating stories about the Northern Lights, Finnish culture, and Arctic nature. At one of our selected locations, we will light an open fire where you can relax with hot drinks and snacks while experiencing the unique atmosphere of a winter night in Northern Finland.
While we do our best to maximize your chances, the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and this is not a guaranteed Northern Lights tour. Whether the Aurora appears or not, you'll experience the peaceful beauty of a winter night in Northern Finland.
Please note: Changing a date of a safari is usually impossible on short notice and for this reason the service price does not include an option for changes one week prior to the service.
